My words, thoughts and photos from a Swedish perspective

Work in progress

At least I’m taking my lessons in how to use Photoshop. It is obvious that digital photo is not an art – it’s a science. Anyhow, this is my first attempt to convert a photo to grayscale. It is not the best photo in the world, but it had something I liked. I guess I used 2 percent of the possibilities at the most.

I have also learned from the histogram that my personal image style may result in loss of details in the shady parts of the picture. Things could be worse and I still like shadows. 😉

  1. just because its a science doesnt mean it isnt still art. the art is the creative way you use the science. i like what you did here. very dreamy quality. and isnt that what its all about? producing something beautiful?

Silverylizard: Thank you, You are right, it’s all about producing something beautiful. I’m currently trying to make the scientific side meet my artistic side. That kind of matchmaking isn’t easy but in due time… 😉
