My words, thoughts and photos from a Swedish perspective

Swedish summer

To me the Swedish summer is something special. Short, intense and beautiful, at least when the weather is nice. I guess it doesn’t matter where you come from – the summer in your country is always special. This is what it looked like along the Three Lakes’ Road on Saturday evening. Cameras often have problems with capturing the depth we see, because they only got one “eye” while we got two.

I stood still for a couple of minutes just trying to absorb it all. When looking at the pictures at home it looks as if the camera could convey a little of the magic feeling and that made me happy.

  3. Lovely captures! I love all the seasons and summer is short here in the Midwest but scorching hot in its season!

imac: Thank you and you are right. The only problem is to admit it in the middle of the winter…

Anna: Thank you. The summer is short here too but we never know if we will get a hot summer or a rainy and cool one. This summer was hot for at least six weeks in a row.

Lynn: Thank you. It has been the same here. Six weeks of sun and heat and no rain in sight. When it finally came, it was more like a disaster than rain. Guess what they call “payback time”.
