My words, thoughts and photos from a Swedish perspective

Touch wood

Phew! Nice weather made me spend all day working in the garden. I have now pruned the apple trees or, to be correct, pruned one tree and continued the “renovation” of the other. The tree I’m trying to restore is probably just as old as my house (built in 1956) but hadn’t been pruned for ages when I bought the house, so I followed the advice a friend gave me: Don’t do everything at once, let it take three or four years. Otherwise you’ll give the tree a serious shock.

His advice has worked well so far. By the way, these are not pictures of my trees – ok? I found other interesting things of wood to take pictures of yesterday.

I really enjoyed being out in the sun and the fresh air all day. Listening to the weather forecast was less encouraging. They say we’ll get rain tomorrow and possibly also snow, even though it will melt away almost instantly.

How was your Easter? Good, I hope!

  1. Great detail in the old wood and lichen. Glad you enjoyed the day. (hanging my head low) I spent Easter, with my daughters, in casinos in Las Vegas. That was a first for me.

Lynn: Spending Easter with your daughters must have been nice, but spending it in casinos in Las Vegas must have been… ummm… less nice. I have seen those casinos on television – crazy.

    Thank you!
