My words, thoughts and photos from a Swedish perspective

Photos from life at work

There was a time when photographs of “life at work” were important and many companies either commissioned them from different photographers to be used in various publications or allowed press photographers and others at the premises to do what they all thought of as “photographic documentation”.

These days are long gone now and today’s managements don’t seem to bother much about “contemporary documentation”, at least not to the same extent as say 50 or 60 years back. I got a chance to take a couple of shots showing “life at work”. The intention is not “to point this or that out” to the viewer, just a couple of photos displaying works that are carried out on a daily basis (but seldom given any credit) and this is my “cheer up and thanks” to them. Not more, not less.

  1. Staffan, I need to know what those tube bulbs are in the top photo?

Lynn: I think the small ones are low voltage bulbs for control lamps on the dashboard in the driver cab. The bigger ones are also for control lamps (they are probably made for 24V in both cases).
