My words, thoughts and photos from a Swedish perspective

Studying raindrops

What could you possibly do on a rainy day except leave the house and get soaking wet? Use the camera and do studies of raindrops, of course. Well, that’s probably the last thing that would cross peoples’ minds and that’s probably the reason why I did it. The raindrop on the picture above is slowly growing bigger and bigger.

Almost big enough to fall. The flashlight is reflected in the raindrop and, as you can see, the light appears to be reflected downwards as well. Not a very huge discovery, I know, but I find it interesting.

The last image I got of the raindrop was this when it finally fell and landed somewhere with a soft “splash”. It was its final, glittering appearance with a touch of nature’s own beauty.
