My words, thoughts and photos from a Swedish perspective

Commuting at this time of the year

Commuting to and from work, school, shopping etc is a part of many peoples’ daily lives. Making time pass while travelling is an art that many of the commuters have brought almost to perfection. Many books and many papers are read on commuter trains and on the Metro. If you don’t feel like reading you can always pick up your iPod and listen to music. Unfortunately, there are also people who use the travel time to talk in their mobiles, loudly displaying all aspects of their private life to the public.

I often wonder if people bother to take a look at the only too familiar landscape rushing by outside the train. Yes, it’s the same landscape as yesterday, but it’s always changing and it offers new impressions daily. One of my set phrases is: Look for the small things, the details – it’s worth it!
